Shieldaig Lodge, the shooting lodge for Shieldaig Forest, still offers the hospitality
and comfort reminiscent of Victorian times, when it could take a week by
train and steamer to reach the estate.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms all have more than a touch of olde worlde charm, and most
enjoy a superb outlook over Loch Gairloch or the surrounding hills. All
rooms have sea or hill views with en suite and coffee and tea making
facilities.
Gardens
In the grounds of Shieldaig Lodge are The Captains Cabin and The
Gamekeepers Cottage. Both are traditional rustic self catering cottages
which can sleep up 4 guests. The cottages are ideal for lovers of the
outdoors with both having real fires and frequent visits from pine martens
and a veritable paradise for bird watchers.
